The Massachusetts State House
As usual, this Friday we visited the Massachusetts State House. When I passed by the state house before, I thought it was a church because the architectural style seemed like a catholic church. After we got into, it seemed like a beautiful museum. The guide leaded us to stand front of some sculpts and pictures, explained their history. For me, that was a hard day because I felt sleepy. But when I got into a hall with very beautiful ceiling, I was stupefied that moment. The ceiling is too beautiful with porcelain murals. The arches engraved very exquisite decoration, with perfect sunshine, the whole hall seemed like an amazing painting. We visited several houses in the Massachusetts State House, and I found that most of them hanged a fish upon the ceiling. It’s strange. I thought it may mean harvest or some special symbol for America. In general, this was a very good experience because it helps us to exploring America deeply in certain degree.
