the Massachusetts State House

the Massachusetts State House

This week, we took green line to visit Massachusetts State House. It is really a fascinating building as you see on the right. This ma
gnificent setting of Massachusetts government for over two centuries has become an outstanding museum to reflect the history of Massachusetts.
First, we arrived here and a handsome and smart young man has already been here to be a guide for us. on the second floor, we saw a State House Model and it is exactly the same with the building.

After that, we went to Doric Hall, Doric Hall is regarded as a main reception room, it served as the setting for uncounted formal and informal gatherings including banquets, press conferences, swearing-in ceremonies and other special events. Doric Hall contains many statues and portraits, i'm deeply impressed by these gorgeous stuff.

Next, after visiting Nurses Hall and Memorial Hall, i have been to the House of Representatives, it is certainly a grand room with a lot of seats inside, i can imagine the situation that many representatives sit here and vote for new policies. To my surprise, behind the Speaker's podium are the Albert Herter murals. The Speaker of the House is elected here and presides from elevated chair behind the podium.

Sente Chamber is the most exciting part of this museum i think. it is a really small room compared to what i had visited before, however, this place is made for electing the Senate President. Many gorgeous decorations here including golden eagle, fantastic. Marble busts of state and national figures stand in the wall niches.

It is a really fantastic memory to visit here, and i like this place.
